Roadside & Beach Cleanup
THE 2026 SI LIONS ROADSIDE CLEANUP IS SCHEDULED
FOR 9:30 AM THROUGH NOON
ON SATURDAY, APRIL 25th.
Please select below one of eleven roadside sections or four beaches on the Island you would like to help clean up or click on NO PREFERENCE to be assigned a section. Enter your name, email address (to receive a reminder or inclement weather cancellation note) and the number of people in your group and click on the green SUBMIT button. You will then see the information you entered and also receive a confirmation email.
Schedule — Saturday, April 25th
- 9:30 am — Meet at the Center Firehouse for coffee and bagels and to pick up high-visibility vests, trash grabbers, gloves and garbage bags and to receive instructions. Suggest you bring some tick repellent and a reusable water bottle.
- 10:00 am to 12:00 pm — Walk the roadsides and public beaches in the section you selected, collect trash, and bring filled trash bags back to Center Firehouse. Town vehicles with warning lights will follow volunteers on major roadways.
- 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm —- Return to Center Firehouse for a free barbecue lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and water, courtesy of SI Fire Department and Lions Club.
